The German IT Security Association comprises members from Germany and abroad as well as thematically related partner organizations. Different perspectives on technology, application and organizational requirements characterize the network.
Secure digital systems depend on architecture, identities, software development and operations working together. These are also SYNEDAT service areas. Our membership reflects our commitment to addressing security early and documenting technical decisions clearly.
Security in architecture
Trust boundaries, data flows and access rights should be clear from the design stage. Threat modeling and architecture reviews help connect security requirements with practical technical measures.
Identities and privileged access
Who is allowed to access which systems is a central security question. Identity and access management, multi-factor authentication and the control of privileged accounts create a verifiable basis for this.
Security in the development process
Code reviews, dependency analyses, and traceable approvals support secure software delivery. It is crucial that findings are assessed and that there are clear responsibilities for their remediation.

What does this mean for a security project with SYNEDAT?
Membership describes our professional network connection. For your project, we agree on the actual deliverables, responsibilities and results separately, such as an architecture review or an IAM concept.
Is membership equivalent to a TeleTrusT security mark?
Membership and the right to use special trust or security marks are separate matters. This page represents corporate membership.
Can security issues be dealt with before development?
Yes. With threat modeling, protection needs assessment and the planning of identities and interfaces, important requirements can be specified before implementation.
