When does a workflow need an AI agent?
Fixed rules and stable processes can often be automated without a language model. An agent can be useful when content needs to be interpreted or next steps need to be selected within clear boundaries. We check the simplest suitable combination for your process.
Is an agent allowed to change data or send messages independently?
Those actions must be explicitly included in the agreed process. Access, inputs and approvals are checked by the application. Significant actions can require confirmation by an authorised person; a model suggestion alone does not grant permission.
How are duplicate executions prevented?
Processes and individual actions receive suitable identifiers and states. Retry handling detects completed steps or handles them safely. The specific solution depends on the connected interfaces and is tested accordingly.
What happens if a tool or model service fails?
The workflow has time limits, defined retries and a clear error state. Depending on the process, it can pause, request clarification or hand over to a person. Ownership and resumption procedures are agreed in advance.
Can an agent access existing enterprise systems?
Defined functions can be connected where suitable interfaces and permissions are available. We check interface contracts, authentication, data scope and possible side effects. The agent receives only the functions intended for its task.
How can we trace the automation's decisions and actions?
Relevant state changes, tool calls, approvals and results are logged within the agreed scope. Sensitive content in logs is limited. Technical traces support diagnosis; subject specialists still need to assess the actual result.
How are uncontrolled loops and costs limited?
We set suitable limits on steps, runtime, retries and resource usage. Stopping conditions and escalations are tested. Monitoring covers the entire workflow, including individual model requests.
How is an initial process selected?
A suitable starting point has a clear trigger, a few integrations, known exceptions and measurable results. The effects of automatic actions should be manageable. We evaluate benefits and required follow-up work before extending the rollout.
