Managed monitoring & observability
Identify what's really impacting IT operations.
Collecting more data does little to help when important incidents disappear among unclear alerts. We maintain the agreed monitoring of your applications and infrastructure, with defined responsibilities, useful notification channels and regular improvements. Logs, metrics and traces are selected to answer operational questions, giving your teams a practical basis for diagnosis and decisions.

Your options
Services that move your project forward
Define the scope of monitoring
Business-relevant services, dependencies and operating hours form the starting point. We agree on which systems, signals and alarm paths are to be looked after and where other teams take over.
You will receive a clearly defined service with named responsibilities.
Capture signals in a meaningful way
Availability, utilization, and application-related metrics are linked to appropriate logs and traces. Scope, data access, and retention are based on the agreed diagnostic questions.
The information collected helps with specific operational decisions.
Make alerts actionable
Threshold values, dependencies and urgency are agreed. Messages are given context, a responsible recipient and a described next action.
Important cues are easier to distinguish from recurring noise.
Maintain dashboards for everyday operations
Dashboards show the state of relevant services and trends in agreed metrics. Where appropriate, we draw on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki and Tempo from SYNEDAT PLATFORM.
Technical teams and service managers see the information that matters to them.
Connect diagnosis with escalation
Alerts are assessed and escalated according to the agreed service. Required access, handover information and escalation paths are defined before the service starts.
Each alert has a clear route to the team responsible for action.
Improve quality regularly
False alarms, missing signals, system changes and actual incidents inform ongoing maintenance. Improvements are prioritized and agreed with the responsible teams.
Monitoring evolves with your applications.
Where to start
Managed monitoring & observability Use cases
Three example situations show how we can help.
Alarms arrive, but no one feels responsible
We review notification channels and responsibilities, then connect important alerts with a defined response process.
An existing monitoring stack needs support
Dashboards and rules are available, but are hardly maintained. A defined service takes over agreed tasks and regular reviews.
Prepare monitoring for new applications
Before the takeover, we determine the necessary signals, diagnostic information and contact persons.
From requirements to results
A clear process with agreed milestones
Assess services and requirements
We look at systems, existing tools, typical faults and desired service times.
Arrange monitoring and handovers
Signals, reporting channels, access, responsibilities and acceptance criteria are defined.
Connect systems and verify workflows
We configure the agreed scope, then use test alerts and representative diagnostic workflows to verify that teams can work together effectively.
Support and develop
Agreed operational tasks and regular reviews keep rules and documentation up to date.
Your benefit
What you receive
- A documented scope of monitoring with responsibilities and service times.
- Managed signals, dashboards and alarm rules for the agreed systems.
- Verified notification and escalation paths with the required operating documentation.
- Regular evaluations and prioritized suggestions for improvement.

Platform experience for your project
We use these selected tools in SYNEDAT PLATFORM or its delivery processes. We adapt suitable practices to your project and align their integration with your existing systems.
Deployment and platform automation
Kubernetes · Azure Kubernetes Service · Helm · Argo CD · Terraform
Versioned configuration and declarative deployment connect infrastructure and applications. GitOps makes proposed changes reviewable and the desired state explicit. Operational transitions and recovery procedures are still planned for the specific application.
Repeatable changes and clearer responsibility boundaries.
Observability and operations
Prometheus · Grafana · Alloy · Loki · Tempo
Metrics, logs and traces provide different views of applications and platforms. We organize data sources, dashboards and alert paths around specific operating questions. Retention, sensitive data and costs are considered when planning data collection.
Better incident diagnosis and informed operating decisions.
Questions before you get started
Does monitoring include fixing incidents?
Detection, evaluation and remediation are different tasks. The offer specifies which steps we take over and when your team or another service provider is responsible. Necessary access and approvals are clarified before the start.
Is round-the-clock monitoring included?
Continuous data collection and staffed response are specified separately. A system may collect signals around the clock while investigation and escalation follow agreed service hours. The contract describes the chosen model.
Can existing tools continue to be used?
Yes, as long as access, interfaces and maintainability match the agreed model. We check the existing structure and describe any necessary adjustments. A complete tool change is not a prerequisite.
What is the difference between logs, metrics, and traces?
Metrics show measurable states and developments. Logs document individual events. Traces track processes via components involved. Which data makes sense depends on the diagnostic questions and the technical capabilities of your application.
How do you reduce unnecessary alerts?
We look at meaning, frequency, dependencies and actual processing. Rules are revised with their purpose and the responsible recipient. The quality is checked on relevant events so that important information is preserved.
What data can be included in logs?
Data scope, access, masking, and retention are coordinated with your stakeholders. Applications should only log necessary information. Existing sensitive content is taken into account when planning collection and evaluation.
How are additional systems brought into the service?
An agreed change defines the signals, technical integration, service hours and owners. Alerts and diagnostic workflows are tested before handover. Additional implementation effort and recurring costs are set out clearly.
What costs determine the service?
The number of systems, data volume, retention, integrations and staff service times have an effect. Setup, ongoing support and additional changes are described in the offer. This allows you to adapt the scope specifically to your needs.
Discuss your next step
Which incidents would you like to understand sooner?
Describe your most important services and current alerting. We will define a manageable starting point with clear responsibilities.
