Questions before you get started
Which tests should we automate first?
Start with frequently repeated checks of important, sufficiently stable business behavior. Tests do not always need to use the user interface: API and component tests are often faster and easier to maintain.
Does automation replace manual quality assurance?
No. Exploratory testing, clarity and some usability questions still need human judgment. Automation is particularly useful for repeatable checks and frees time for those activities.
Do you work with our existing testing tools?
Yes. We evaluate the suitability, integration and maintenance of the existing tools. A change is only suggested if it creates a concrete advantage for your requirements.
How do you deal with unstable tests?
We investigate timing dependencies, shared test data and uncontrolled external services. Tests need clear prerequisites and ownership. Simply rerunning a failed test does not address its root cause.
Can production data be used for testing?
The business need and data protection requirements must be assessed first. Where possible, we use synthetic or appropriately anonymized data. Access, retention and deletion are defined explicitly for the test environment.
How much test coverage makes sense?
A single percentage only describes quality to a limited extent. We look at critical business rules, defect paths, and integrations. Coverage scores help find gaps, but they are not a substitute for risk-based assessment.
Can an existing application be tested automatically afterwards?
Yes. A sensible way to get started is to have easily observable interfaces and important user paths. If the application is difficult to test, necessary adjustments are narrowed down as part of the project.
What improves the release decision?
