Web & Portal Development
A portal that simplifies work for your customers and your teams.
Customers wait for updates, employees copy data by hand, and important tasks are scattered across emails and spreadsheets. We develop web applications and portals that bring these workflows together. From the first useful process to an integrated platform, we combine clear user interfaces, reliable integrations and an operating model that supports your portal after launch.

Your options
Services that move your project forward
Portal strategy and MVP
We identify your user groups and the workflow with the greatest potential to reduce manual work. This becomes a prioritized feature backlog with clear success criteria.
Your first investment addresses a specific benefit that you can evaluate.
User journeys and interfaces
User paths, prototypes and a consistent design system make complex processes understandable. Keyboard operation, error messages and mobile use are taken into account at an early stage.
Your target groups will find their way around faster and can complete tasks themselves.
Customer and partner portals
Enquiries, documents, status updates and approvals come together behind a secure login. Roles control access for different customers, partners and organizational units.
Fewer status enquiries and a traceable history of each process.
Integration with your systems
We connect ERP, CRM, document storage and business applications through defined APIs. Data ownership, error handling and synchronization are agreed explicitly.
Information does not have to be maintained manually in several interfaces.
Security and quality
Authentication, permissions and sensitive data flows are part of the design. Automated tests check core workflows and critical transitions.
A tested application with documented evidence for business acceptance.
Launch and ongoing development
We plan release, monitoring, support handover and a prioritized expansion. Feedback from actual usage determines the next improvements.
A supported launch and a clear plan for future development.
Where to start
Web & Portal Development Use cases
Three example situations show how we can help.
Self-service instead of status requests
A customer portal shows documents and the current processing status. We start with a frequently used process and check whether users can complete it without additional support.
Securely onboard partners
External partners submit documents or work on shared tasks. Separate access permissions and traceable approvals support dependable collaboration.
Digitize internal processes
An internal portal replaces scattered forms and spreadsheets. Business rules, required information and handovers become part of the workflow.
From requirements to results
A clear process with agreed milestones
Choose the first workflow
We agree the audience, current situation and expected improvement, then choose a suitable first user journey.
Test a prototype
Clickable prototypes make assumptions visible. Business specialists and future users provide feedback before detailed implementation.
Develop in stages
Features and integrations are delivered in reviewable increments. Regular demonstrations keep priorities and expectations aligned.
Launch and improve
Acceptance testing, data migration and handover prepare the launch. We then evaluate actual use and prioritize improvements.
Your benefit
What you receive
- Prioritized portal backlog with user paths and acceptance criteria.
- Usable application including agreed integrations.
- Source code, technical documentation and test records to the agreed extent.
- Implementation plan and basis for operation and further development.

Platform experience for your project
We use these selected tools in SYNEDAT PLATFORM or its delivery processes. We adapt suitable practices to your project and align their integration with your existing systems.
From source code to verified artifacts
Azure DevOps · GitLab · Jenkins · Harbor · Nexus
Version control, build processes and artifact repositories make software versions traceable. Our platform approach connects these activities with defined checks and approvals. For your project, we select tools that fit your teams and existing processes.
A clear delivery process and traceable software versions.
Developer access and shared knowledge
Backstage · code-server · Structurizr · Swagger UI
A service catalog, suitable development environments, architecture views and API documentation help teams find their way and work together. The focus is on useful workflows and maintained information. An additional portal alone does not remove an organizational bottleneck.
Less time searching and an easier start for development teams.
Quality and the software supply chain
SonarQube · Trivy · Dependency-Track · DefectDojo · Renovate · Syft · Cosign
Code quality, vulnerabilities, dependencies and artifact provenance require different checks. Findings need to be linked to the product and delivered version, with a defined process for resolving them. Automated checks complement reviews and informed decisions.
Security and quality information that teams can act on.
Questions before you get started
Can we start with a small portal?
Yes. An MVP can support one important workflow from start to finish. We consider future integrations and permissions in the architecture without implementing every possible feature in advance.
Can our ERP or CRM be connected?
We assess existing APIs, data models, access options and vendor terms. The integration design defines which system owns each type of data. Any missing interfaces are identified as separate work in the proposal.
What do you need to estimate the project?
Start with a target workflow, the main user groups and an overview of the systems involved. If requirements are still unclear, a short discovery and design phase can establish a more reliable basis for the proposal.
Can you further develop an existing portal?
Yes. We check the source code, architecture, user guidance and operating environment. From this, we deduce which improvements are directly possible and where technical preparatory work is required. Existing functions are taken into account when planning the acceptance.
How are different customers and organizations separated?
We design roles and permissions for each user group. If several organizations share an application, tenant boundaries are also checked at the data and API levels. Hiding a button is not sufficient access control.
Can the portal also be used on smartphones?
The intended devices and usage situations are defined at the beginning of the project. Responsive interfaces, suitable input aids and tests of the most important user paths are then part of the agreed scope of services.
How do you take accessibility into account?
We agree on specific requirements and test criteria for structure, contrasts, keyboard operation and understandable feedback. Automated tests are supplemented by manual checks. Whether special legal requirements apply is clarified for the respective project.
Who owns the source code and usage rights?
Deliverables and rights of use are specified in the contract. This also includes the handling of open source components, third-party services and existing libraries. This makes it clear what you can operate or develop yourself before commissioning.
